Jen Webb

Jen Kilgore Webb is a nurse and Board-Certified Patient Advocate with a Certificate in Community Health Center Leadership. She graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelors in English and after a short period of selling homes she started as a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative and discovered a passion for Medicine. Jen quit her job and went to nursing school where she found a home in the Emergency Department where she was exposed to social determinants of health. After years as an ED nurse Jen started working as a Nursing Director for jails all over the state of Virginia, specifically working on process improvement. Jen returned to the ED as a process engineer and started working on a project to help change inappropriate emergency department utilization. From this work Community Access Network was born. Jen was the founder and President of CAN all while working at the Hospital System as the Vice President of Care Coordination where she led medical management of the health plan, enterprise-wide case management, nursing of 60+ practices in the medical group, the emergency departments, and various other roles during her time there. She transitioned into the CEO of The Free Clinic of Central Virginia in 2021 and feels it is her calling to improve access to care. She is a board member for the Virginia Association of Charitable and Free Clinics and Iron Lives. She has a passion for underserved and believes dental is a massive public health crisis and is doing everything she can increase access to dental care for underserved. Throughout her work with underserved populations, she has recognized the critical importance of connecting students with her clinic to create job opportunities for Career and Technical Education (CTE) students and to spark interest in healthcare careers. She is also deeply committed to mentoring others, fostering healthy, bully-free, and transformative workplaces.

In her spare time Jen is a wife to Adam and they have three girls. Jen loves dogs but her husband will only let her have one, Frank, and a cat Max. Jen loves her family, friends, and community. She also loves to play tennis, travel, decorate, garden, and sit with her feet in the river on a sunny day.
